New F-1 Students

Steps to Take Before Coming to Campus

  1. Pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee
  2. Get your F-1 visa
  3. Submit immunization/health requirement records to Student Health and Wellness
  4. Book your travel tickets
    • Don't forget about arriving in time for your orientation dates
    • You can enter the U.S. up to 30 days before the start date on your I-20
  5. Set up RPI Email (RCS Account) - Follow these instructions
  6. Pay Tuition – Visit the Bursar's Office for detailed instructions and additional information for International students
  7. Check for email communications from International Services for Students and Scholars

Saturday, August 22

International Orientation

  • 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (EST)
    • Arrive between 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to check-in
    • Hot lunch between 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
    • Schedule + Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) will be posted by late-July
  • Location will be posted by late-July
  • Hosted by the Office of International Services for Students & Scholars (ISSS)
  • This in-person event is required for all new international students and scholars + incoming exchange students
